The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia issued a warning to the company “Izhavia”, which charged an additional fee for the registration of passengers and baggage at the airport of Izhevsk, said the Agency.
The company, acting as the main operator of the airport, included the provision of access to the automated registration system in the list of additional paid services.
Tariffs for passenger service at airports are regulated by the state, and the cost of their registration should be included in the basic tariff.
The FAS saw in the actions of Izhavia signs of imposing unfavorable terms of the contract on airlines. The position of the antimonopoly service was supported by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
In case of failure to comply with the warning, the FAS will initiate an antimonopoly case.
Earlier, Rosaviatsiya canceled the air operator certificate of Izhavia airline due to violations of flight safety requirements, which the carrier did not eliminate. Since August 1, the airline lost the right to operate commercial flights and stopped selling tickets.
