“We have received information from the Turkish Cypriot authorities that the body identification procedure has been completed. It belongs to Yulia Osjan, the statement said.
Passenger ferry Filo JET crashed off the coast of Northern Cyprus on August 30. The ship was en route from Girne to Mersin, Turkey, when it began to collect water and capsized. There were 267 people on board.
On the day of the crash, authorities reported eight dead and 23 missing. Initially, the Russian Embassy in Nicosia said that there were no Russians among the dead and those who sought medical help. However, the Russian diplomatic mission later clarified that two Russian citizens were on board: one was rescued, the second was missing.
