“The beginning of the new week will again be marked by another wave of Atlantic heat, and the temperature will exceed the norm by 5-8 degrees, which makes it possible to update daily temperature records,” the forecaster said.
At the same time, on the weekend, October 10-11, cooler weather is expected in the central regions of the European part of Russia. According to Leus, the temperature will be close to the climatic norm, and local rains and gusty winds will make it less comfortable.
The weather forecaster also said that Friday, October 9, was the warmest day in Moscow since the beginning of the month. According to the base weather station at VDNKh, the air warmed up to plus 18.1 degrees. A similar temperature on October 9 in the capital has not been recorded since 1974.
The warm air mass formed by the North Atlantic cyclone also led to the renewal of daily records in Tula, Tambov and Luhansk. In Tula, the temperature reached plus 21.2 degrees, in Tambov - plus 21.9, and in Lugansk - plus 24.9 degrees.
Earlier, Mikhail Leus said that on Saturday, October 10, short-term rains and strong winds are expected in Moscow. At night, the temperature will be plus 7-9 degrees, in the afternoon the air will warm up to plus 11-13 degrees.
