In Tula, the winner of the contest “People’s district” was arrested for bribery

In Tula, the deputy head of the district police department was arrested on bribery charges. This was reported in the press service of the courts and the USD of the Tula region.

According to the investigation, in October 2026, she offered the man for 200 thousand rubles not to initiate a criminal case against his son forgery of a driver’s license. The money was transferred in the car, after which the suspect was detained.

The court chose her preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 1 month 29 days. She is accused of receiving a bribe in a large amount (paragraph 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code), for which up to 12 years of imprisonment are provided.

The court took into account the gravity of the charge and the fact that the woman was an active police officer and could use official connections to conceal evidence or pressure witnesses.

The portal myslo.ru reported that the woman in 2023 and 2024 became a “people’s precinct” of the Tula region and represented the region at the federal level.
