37% of Chanel perfume cards blocked on marketplaces

Rospotrebnadzor checked the sellers of perfume and cosmetic products Chanel after monitoring the marketplaces Ozon and Wildberries, which in July 2026 was organized by the International Association “Anti-Counterfeit”. As a result of the measures taken, marketplaces blocked 37% of the cards of goods included in the study, the press service of the association reported.

At the time, the study found that only 8% of the cards surveyed met legal requirements. For the rest of the proposals, various violations were revealed: the lack of information on declarations of conformity, the lack of registration of sellers in the Honest Sign system, the report said.

After receiving the materials of the association, the territorial administrations of Rospotrebnadzor conducted inspections in the regions where sellers of the studied goods were registered. Work was carried out in the Republic of Kalmykia, the Republic of Komi, Moscow, Moscow region, Novosibirsk region, Udmurtia and the Chechen Republic.

In addition to blocking 37% of cards, in 14% of cases at the time of inspection, the goods were already sold, but the sellers were warned. In another 3% of cases, sellers received warnings and then promptly placed valid declarations of conformity.

2% of the cards required additional clarification of the circumstances, in connection with which the terms of consideration were extended. The Association also noted the problem of the sale of goods by foreign sellers and the development of cross-border trade. Such offers accounted for 44% of the cards included in the monitoring.

Two-thirds of the studied goods (67%) cost from 359 to 3 thousand rubles. Original perfume Chanel authorized distributors costs from 16.5 thousand rubles, lipstick — from 9 thousand rubles, according to the Association.

In addition, 75% of the cards did not contain information about the declaration of compliance with the requirements of TR CU 009/2011 “On the safety of perfume and cosmetic products”.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Association of Omnichannel Retail Companies (ACORT) Stanislav Bogdanov said that most often in Russia counterfeit car parts, sports shoes and clothing, cosmetics and household chemicals. According to him, the top 10 most counterfeit categories also include tobacco products, alcohol, laptops and smartphones.

At the end of March, the Constitutional Court considered the liability of marketplaces for placing counterfeit goods.
