Press Secretary of the Governor of Primorsky Krai Makar Rudenchik met two young Himalayan bears while fishing near the village of Krasny Yar. The animals swam the duct in his direction, and the man decided to leave the meeting place, he wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Rudenchik, at first he heard crackling in the bushes on the opposite bank. Then two bears came out of the thicket, fell into the water and began to swim to him. The spokesman was knee-deep in the water in a fishing suit. "To say that I was frightened to see two bears swimming towards me through the duct is to say nothing," Rudenczyk wrote.
He noted that he did not wait for the appearance of the bear and quickly got out of the water to his shore, and then went to the village. “Yes, I know that you can’t run away, but in my situation to stand and wait for these two in fur coats to come diagonally to me, is also so-so,” the spokesman said.
According to him, he did not shoot animals on video, because at that moment he was thinking about safety. Rudenczyk suggested that the bears simply "walked their way" and did not hunt him.
On the eve in the Trans-Baikal Territory, hunters eliminated a bear that came to the village of Bilyutuy of the Kirin district. According to official data, from August 1 to October 5, 2026, bear attacks on people were recorded in 13 Russian regions.
