Long lines gathered at the petrol stations of the Indonesian company Pertamina in the administrative capital of Bali province Denpasare on October 13. The queue for a gas station near the international airport named after Ngurah Rai also prevented traffic, reports the publication Tempo.
According to the head of the Bali Agency for Labor, Energy and Mineral Resources Ida Bagus Setihavan, the queues were formed due to the limited amount of gasoline of Pertalite and Pertamax brands of Pertamina.
Ahad Rahedi, regional manager for communications, communications and corporate social responsibility at Pertamina, said the fuel shortage was caused by an increase in the average consumption of Pertalite oil products in Bali, which reached about 2.2 thousand cubic meters per day.
To solve the problem of shortage in Bali on October 11, the ship Pertamina arrived, carrying 18 thousand cubic meters of Pertalite fuel and 2.5 thousand cubic meters of Pertamax brand. Additional ships will also arrive on October 14 and 16. In addition, local authorities have accelerated the distribution of energy resources to ensure their delivery to all gas stations in the province.
