Sobyanin opened the construction of a new circus in Mnevniki

In the west of Moscow, the construction of a new building of the Bolshoi Moscow Circus began in the Mnivnikovskaya floodplain, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin started it. This was reported by the portal “Moscow24”.

Sobyanin said that it was a “complex and important work”, and called the project “important and necessary for the country”. Then he said, "Let's go.".

Construction of the building will be completed in 2029, said the head of the Department of culture of Moscow Alexei Fursin. The project of the building was chosen by Muscovites through voting, it will accommodate up to 5 thousand spectators.

The new circus was originally planned to be built on Vernadsky Avenue on the site of a historic building of the seventies, but Muscovites opposed its demolition.
