Two pilots of the aerobatics group "Russian Knights" - Colonel Oleg Erofeev and Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Kochetov - died on October 21. This was reported by the press service of the aviation group.

“The profession of a military pilot involves high risks and requires daily courage. Every flight, whether it is a task of national importance or flights to prepare and improve flight skills, remains a responsible and dangerous business. Unfortunately, there are also losses. The loss, after which there is a ringing, deafening silence. And with it comes pain that can not be silenced by anything, – stated in the message.

Aerobatic group "Russian Knights" was formed by the Russian Air Force in 1991. Over the years, the pilots of the group flew the Su-27P, Su-27UB and Su-30SM. This is the only aerobatic group in the world performing group aerobatic flight on heavy fighters.

“They left on their final voyage, having accomplished their last feat. And we believe that it will be appreciated, the press service of the group added.
