The truck brought down a pedestrian bridge in Solnechnogorsk. Video

Today at about 18:30 on the 57th km of the highway M-10 "Russia" in the urban district Solnechnogorsk accident occurred. During the movement, the truck opened the body, which touched the platform of the pedestrian bridge, after which the structure collapsed, reported in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Moscow region.

The department said that as a result of the incident, the driver of the truck died on the spot. Traffic in both directions was blocked.

The head of the city district of Solnechnogorsk Konstantin Mikhalkov said that work on the Leningrad highway continues to restore traffic. At the place of arrival, a maintenance car, a manipulator and a crane that will raise the structure of the bridge for dismantling and free the roadway.

At 23:05, Mikhalkov wrote in the Max canal that a crane with a carrying capacity of 100 tons was already lifting the first part of the bridge. Work is ongoing.

In early October, a similar accident occurred in Tatarstan. In the village of Koshchakovo, after a truck collision with a load-bearing structure, an above-ground pedestrian crossing over the Kazan-Shemordan road partially collapsed.
