The case of Blinovskaya’s husband was terminated due to his participation in the military operation

The investigation stopped the criminal prosecution against the husband of blogger Elena Blinovskaya Alexei on charges of tax evasion. The reason was the participation of a businessman in a military operation, told TASS in law enforcement agencies.

The termination of the criminal prosecution of Blinovsky was also reported by REN TV, citing his lawyer.

RBC appealed for a comment in the Investigative Committee of Moscow, to lawyer Natalia Salnikova.

In May 2023, the businessman was charged with complicity in his wife's tax evasion schemes. According to the investigation, Blinovskaya and her accomplices attracted private entrepreneurs and legal entities controlled by them, who used special tax regimes to split businesses in order to artificially lower incomes, and, as a result, reduce taxes.

According to the investigation, the “queen of marathons” in the period from 2019 to 2021 with the mediation of her husband evaded taxes in the amount of 906 million rubles and illegally legalized 706 million rubles.

In March 2025, a court in Moscow sentenced Blinovskaya to five years in prison, as well as to a fine of 1 million rubles and a ban on doing business for four years. Later, the Moscow City Court reduced the sentence to four and a half years. She also reduced the fine to 950 thousand rubles. Taking into account the time spent under arrest and in the pre-trial detention center, Blinovskaya’s sentence ends in April 2027.

In the spring of 2024, Blinovsky signed a contract and went to the zone of the military operation in Ukraine. A few months later, the Interior Ministry declared him wanted, according to TASS - for failing to appear to the investigator in the criminal case of tax evasion. Lawyer businessman Yulia Novichkova later said that the investigator is aware of Blinovsky’s involvement in the military operation and knows about his whereabouts.

In parallel, Blinovsky is a victim in the case of fraud against the former lawyer of the family Elman Pashaev.
