The average old-age pension in October exceeded 27.3 thousand rubles.

In Russia, the average size of old-age pension by October 1, 2026 reached 27,322 rubles, follows from the data of the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System (EMISS).

Among those registered with the Social Fund, according to statistics, working old-age pensioners received an average of 25,253 rubles, and not employed - about 27,882 rubles. Compared to January, the size of old-age pension for both categories increased by almost 100 rubles, and compared to October 2025 - by more than 2 thousand rubles.

The average size of all types of pensions by the beginning of October amounted to 25,480 rubles. Compared to October last year, when the average pension was 23,259 rubles, the increase amounted to almost 2 thousand rubles.

In October, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced a return to two-stage indexation of pensions. According to her, the first indexation in 2027 will be carried out taking into account the actual inflation for 2026, the second – based on the growth rate of the wage fund.

Later, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov called the parameters of the increase: 6.8% from February and another 3.3% from April. According to him, by the end of 2027, the average old-age pension will reach 29,904 rubles.
