Train Santa Claus departed from Veliky Ustyug on the sixth trip to Russia, the train will return after the New Year - January 9. This was reported in the residence of Santa Claus.
Ahead of the magical composition are the platforms of 65 cities and a long journey of 24 thousand kilometers - from the Russian North and the Arctic to Siberia, the Urals, the Volga region and the central regions of the country. Holiday programs are planned at the stops. The mobile residence is equipped with a reception car, a "Fairytale Village" with games and quests, a stage and a puppet theater, the publication says.
The office of Santa Claus noted that he personally checked the readiness and design of the train and was satisfied.
The first trip of Santa Claus to Russia took place in 2021. Since then, he has visited more than 170 cities, traveled 78 thousand km and spent 190 days on the road.
The train left Moscow for Santa Claus in Veliky Ustyug a day earlier, the press service of Russian Railways reports. “By tradition, we held a train with the Moscow Central Committee and wished him a happy journey, and everyone who meets him at the stations – the fulfillment of wishes,” the statement reads.
The trip of Santa Claus to Russia will take 63 days. The first train will be met by residents of the Russian North and the Arctic zone, it will also stop in Inta, Labytnangi, Vorkuta, Pechora, Sosnogorsk, Ukhta, Syktyvkar and Kotlas. Then the train will proceed through Kirov, Glazov and Perm to Siberia, where Santa Claus will visit Nyagan, Yugorsk, Tyumen, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Omsk. In December and January, the train will visit the cities of the Urals, the Volga region and the North-West.
Ticket sales for the first section of the route, from Inta to Omsk, started on October 27. In the future, tickets will go on sale daily, 30 days before the arrival of the train in the next city.
Earlier in Russian Railways reported that the train Santa Claus entered the Book of records of Russia. In three months he traveled more than 33 thousand km.
