Died actress from “Method” and “Brother 2” Janina Kogut

Actress Yanina Kogut, who played in the film “Brother 2” and the series “Method”, died at the 76th year of life. She died in hospital after a stroke, told TASS in her environment.

“Yanina Gordeevna died yesterday, there was a trunk stroke, she was in intensive care since October 29,” the source said.

Janina Kogut was born on May 7, 1951 in Podolsk. In 1975, she graduated from the vocal department of the M. M. Ippolitov-Ivanov Musical School. In 1974-1984 she worked at the Moscow Experimental Theatre-Studio Soyuzconcert, which later became the Theatre of Polyphonic Drama under the direction of Gennady Yudenich. In 1987, Kogut graduated from the People’s University of Arts with a degree in “Fundamentals of Acting Arts”.

In the movie actress starred since the early 1990s. Among her works are the film Brother 2 (2000), the melodrama Sky. Airplane. The Girl (2002) and The Frenchman (2004). She also participated in TV projects “Moscow”. Three stations, Method, Schipher, Aunt Martha and End of the World.

In "The Method" Cogut played Gracha's grandmother. In the series “Chipher” she played the role of Lyudmila Arkadyevna. In total, her filmography includes about 40 works in film and television.
