The authorities of Bavaria began work on the conservation of the burned-out tea house of Adolf Hitler – Kellsteinhaus (“Eagle’s Nest”).
The footage shows a helicopter with a long cable flying over the mountainous terrain. A construction crane is installed on the site.
The fire occurred on October 23. According to Bild, by the time firefighters and police arrived, the building was already completely engulfed in fire. Significant forces were brought in to extinguish. Police suspected arson, but the cause of the fire was not established.
After the fire, the head of the interior Ministry of Bavaria Joachim Herrman said that the building will be restored because of its historical significance. "We can hardly leave only ruins there," he said.
Kellsteinhaus is located in the Bavarian Alps at an altitude of 1834 m. The building was built in 1937-1938 for Hitler, who rarely visited it. Since 1952 there has been a mountain restaurant.
