October 7 in Ulyanovsk will win sirens – what is happening

October 7 from 10:40 to 11:30 in the Ulyanovsk region will be scheduled inspection of the warning system. During this period, electric sirens and horn loudspeakers will be used in the settlements of the region.

Similar checks will be held on October 7 throughout Russia. Their goal is to ensure the serviceability of the system, which is necessary for timely informing citizens about the threat or occurrence of emergency situations.

During the inspection, a temporary replacement of the airwaves on all-Russian mandatory public television and radio channels will take place. Additional information will be posted in the mobile application “EMERCOM of Russia”.

The press service of the EMERCOM of Russia urged residents not to panic at the sound of the siren. If the system is triggered, it is recommended to turn on the TV or radio and listen to the information message.
