After the fuel spill in Taimyr opened a case

A criminal case on violation of environmental protection rules was opened in Taimyr after a spill of diesel fuel in a local village. This was reported by TASS in law enforcement agencies of the region. They specified that the tank with fuel belongs to Taimyr Alliance Trading.
The emergency happened on September 15. About 170 tons of diesel spilled onto the ground in the village of Sondassko, one of the northernmost settlements in Russia, where less than 500 people live. The cause of the incident was the depressurization of the container. As a result, about 200 cubic meters of diesel got into Khatanga Bay. The authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory introduced a state of emergency.
