Reports of dog deaths after the use of Multican-8 appeared in August. Vetbiohim has withdrawn several series of vaccines. The company claimed that they had passed the necessary quality control, and the vaccination itself does not prove a link between the drug and the death of the animal. In early September, the Rosselkhoznadzor suspended the circulation of Multican-8 series No. 20, 21, as well as the Multican-6 series No. 11, 12. The agency also began an unscheduled inspection of Vetbiokhim.
The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert said that the preliminary cause of the incident could be a violation of production technology. He allowed the license to be revoked from the company. Vetbiohim offers the owners of the dead dogs to compensate for the costs, subject to the refusal of further claims.
