The Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin signed an agreement on connecting St. Petersburg medical institutions to the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System (EMIAS). This was reported by the press service of the St. Petersburg administration.
“For the doctor, it is a single information about the patient and less unnecessary work with documents. For the hospital - a clear picture of the work of departments. For the city — the opportunity to see the load of medical institutions, — said Mr. Beglov during a visit to the city hospital of St. Great Martyr George.
By the end of the year, it is planned to connect all hospitals of St. Petersburg to EMIAS. Then the clinics. The next stage is the integration of federal and private medical structures, said Alexander Beglov. “A large general information analytical medical system is being prepared. We are at the beginning of this journey, he said.
EMIAS was established in 2011 in Moscow. With the help of the service, patients can make an appointment with a doctor, arrange a sick leave and receive an electronic prescription for drugs.
