The administration of the city of Baikalsk in the Irkutsk region imposed a curfew from 19:00, after which people are forbidden to be on the street, in parks and forests. The restrictions of the city's power were explained by security measures in connection with the invasion of bears.

The administration also banned going to the forest, to remote areas, as well as collecting wild plants. Pets are allowed to walk only during the day. According to the statement, the bear is a predator that is not afraid of man, and the forest is now a “zone of deadly danger.”.
