The permitted speed of cars increased from 80 to 90 km / h on the section of the highway Solntsevo — Butovo — Warsaw highway. This was reported in the Center for Road Traffic Organization (TSODD) of Moscow.
“Before the change, specialists analyzed the traffic pattern, road parameters and accident rate,” said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov. It is a wide multi-lane highway without adjustable intersections and ground pedestrian crossings, so the site is suitable for driving at a higher speed. The new speed limit corresponds to the actual conditions of the road – driving will become more comfortable and predictable.”.
Construction of the Solntsevo-Butovo-Warsawskoye (SBV) road began in 2016. The track is part of the new transport framework of TINAO and acts as a backup to the Moscow Ring Road. The highway is planned to be completed in 2026, including through the construction of sections that will connect the SBV, the South Lytkarinsky Road near Moscow and the Moscow High-speed Diameter. “Thus, the SBV will enter the high-speed frame, which is formed within the framework of the Transport Development Strategy,” the data center explained. Thanks to the expressway network, drivers will be able to move faster and more comfortable around the city.”.
Earlier, according to the project of the Moscow data center, the permitted speed was increased from 60 to 80 km / h on the Warsaw Highway behind the Moscow Ring Road, on the North-Eastern Chord, General Dorokhov Avenue and on the Leningrad Highway from the Moscow Ring Road to Sheremetyevo Highway.
