In the collection “The state of cancer care to the population of Russia” for last year, which was studied by the newspaper, it is indicated that at the zero stage breast cancer was detected in more than 3.7 thousand patients. Compared to 2015, the proportion of identified patients with the first stage of cancer increased by 12 percentage points to 36%.
The overall incidence of breast cancer in Russia and the world is steadily growing, said Sergey Malygin, a member of the Russian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (ROPRECH). At the same time, according to him, the detection rate of the disease in the III-IV stages for 10 years decreased by 23%. In 2025, it was just over 23%.
