The police asked the mother of the guy, whom he told about the incident. As it turned out, the attacker first called the teenager under the guise of a representative of a mobile operator. An unknown person convinced the minor to name the SMS code, which was allegedly required to extend the contract for the provision of communication services.
Later, the young man received a second call. Responding to the call, the teenager heard that he had previously spoken with scammers who managed to obtain his personal data and use them for illegal financial transactions. So the criminal brought the interlocutor to the main thing: he can avoid punishment only by declaring the available money. Believing, the student took from the house parent $ 3 thousand and gave to the unknown. The deception was revealed when the minor told his mother everything.
The police urge parents to regularly remind children about fraudulent schemes and that it is unacceptable to transfer money to strangers.
