Aksyonov threatened penalties for unfulfilled pruning of trees
Timely pruning of trees along power lines is one of the factors affecting the uninterrupted power supply of settlements

Timely pruning of trees along power lines is one of the factors affecting the uninterrupted power supply of settlements. This was stated by the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov at a meeting on working with citizens’ appeals in municipalities of the Republic of Crimea.
According to him, now it turns out that the pruning work is not finished everywhere. As a reason, managers cite the fuel crisis.
Aksyonov recalled that the heads of administrations in November 2025 reported on the implementation of pruning in full. The fuel outages began much later.
“All those who committed deliberate deception are awaiting disciplinary penalties,” Aksyonov wrote.
In September 2026, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk explained the situation with a shortage of fuel at refueling stations by increased demand and rapidly exhaustive reserves at gas stations.
In August 2026, Aksyonov said that the cause of temporary difficulties was force majeure - the volume of fuel on sale was insufficient, but new batches will be sold at a price not exceeding 100 rubles per liter.
