- Within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Belarus has always promoted and promoted a peaceful and creative agenda. We stand for raising the level of parliamentary diplomacy in resolving conflicts, ensuring sustainable development, promoting a creative, unifying agenda, Aleinik said.
The participation of the Belarusian parliamentarian in the 153rd Assembly of the IPU began with the entry into the book of honorary guests of the Tanzanian Parliament.
At the meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania Moussa Dungu, the parties noted the friendly nature of relations.
- They discussed prospects for the development and strengthening of political dialogue and inter-parliamentary interaction. We agreed on further contacts at the inter-parliamentary level, Aleinik said.
He noted that special attention was paid to strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the countries, primarily in the areas of industrial cooperation, improving the level of food security in Tanzania and developing cooperation in the field of agriculture. The issues of health, education and other areas of interest to the Tanzanian side were also discussed.
In addition, negotiations were held with President of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Yusuf Raza Gilani. The interlocutors confirmed the convergence of views on the formation of a new, fair multipolar order and agreed to continue intensive inter-parliamentary dialogue between Belarus and Pakistan.
