Alexander Novikov spoke about the main events in Smolensk over the past week

The head of the city of Smolensk Alexander Novikov spoke about the results of the last working week, during which the construction season ends.

Improvement and infrastructure:

In Readowskoye Park laid asphalt pavement ski roller track, installed lighting and 33 cameras surveillance.

The construction of a path connecting Tula Lane with Chernyakhovsky Street has been completed. On the tram ring on Bagration Street, laying paving stones is completed and benches are installed.

Squares: the main works were performed in the Nakhimovsky Square (paving stones, landscaping, admiral’s bust, children’s and sports grounds). The improvement of the route from the Kurgan of Immortality to the beach of Lake Readovsk continues.

At the request of residents, a children's playground at the Charm DK and a boxing pear in the park behind the Sortage DK were installed (previously athletes used tires for training). Acceptance of work and elimination of comments are completed.

With the onset of night frosts, the fountains are turned off. Gorvodokanal specialists cleaned their bowls and preserved engineering systems for the winter.

By the end of the year, the city will install 50 volumetric tricolors on the A132 highway. The installation of light panels with symbols of Smolensk (gun and bird Gamayun) continues - at the moment 547 units are installed on the Moscow highway, Tenisheva Street, Gagarin Avenue, Victory Square and other central streets.

In Voronezh, at the All-Russian Forum “Cities Meet” Alexander Novikov spoke at the Coordination Council, where he shared the experience of Smolensk. The forum brought together representatives of 57 cities and 31 regions of Russia, as well as guests from Belarus.
