Alexander Shuvaev appreciated the progress of road works in Belgorod

Governor Alexander Shuvaev inspected road works in Belgorod, where the reconstruction of the access road and the construction of a transport interchange from Krasnoarmeyskaya Street to the South-West-2 microdistrict are underway.

On the section of the Krasnoarmeyskaya-South-West road with a length of more than 2 km, the carriageway is expanded to four lanes, the road surface is updated, sidewalks, bicycle paths, barrier fences, lighting and stops are equipped. To improve safety and bandwidth, a smart traffic light will be installed with additional lanes for cornering.

In parallel, a transport interchange with a 100-meter overpass through the railway is being built. The 339-meter-long facility will include two lanes and a cycling footpath.

“Engineering networks have already been updated, retaining walls and embankments are being installed, piles are being immersed. The work is complex, a lot of communications, but we solve all issues together with the contractor and resource supplying organizations, the head of the region said.

The update is carried out under the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. Contractors plan to complete the work by the end of 2027.

Recall that the overhaul of the clinic No. 2 in Stary Oskol was performed by 40%.
