They say that this berry can cure everything in the world, compote from it instantly quenches thirst, and the collection process replaces a week in the gym. It is good to grind lingonberry with sugar, roll or freeze. In winter, you can throw a seagull with lingonberry, as Baba Shura said from the film Love and Pigeons, and bake in cakes. But even that's not the point in lingonberry. This is not a berry, but a real medicine! It is useful for the kidneys, and how a natural antibiotic works. So many vitamins - from everything will cure, assure experienced pickers of berries.

Our correspondents went to the Lelchitsky district of the Gomel region for a tart sour-sweet taste and berry secrets of Poleshuks. The resulting juicy report will be found on one of the spreads of the newspaper “SB Week”. Plenty of photos attached.
No matter what anyone says, television is still relevant. True, the tastes and habits of viewers are constantly changing: all of them are reflected in the studies of a single national media meter - Media Measurer CJSC. This data helps channel managers to form a broadcast grid so as to get into the demands of the audience. Right now in Belarus is the second wave of installation research. Interviewers ask urban and rural residents about how and what they watch on TV.

Illustrative photo from the archive "SB" Today, media measurements are carried out in 550 households across the country — about 1,300 respondents and about 950 TVs. Moreover, not only adults’ preferences are studied – even children from 4 years old become important sources of information. But so far, the study has only covered urban residents. Now the rural population is included in the TV panel, which will allow to get a more complete picture of TV viewing in the country. At the expense of the rural population, the number of households participating in the study will increase to 700.

Why are Belarusian TVs connected to black boxes? Why is it impossible to get into the list of participants of media measurement by acquaintance? What is the objective picture of television? You will find out the answers to these and other questions if you read the text of Kristina Skuratovich.
* “It is difficult to be human. You just have to love the people and the audience. And when you give yourself with all your heart to your profession, you will endure everything, said Zinaida Brovarskaya, a People's Artist of the BSSR, a star of the Kupalovsky Theater. Those who knew her, remember a beauty with huge brown eyes, an actress of a magnificent school, intelligent, kind, who had the widest creative range. On the stage of the theater. Yankee Kupala she played a lot of roles, to our happiness, there are still several films (pity, less than it could be!), allowing you to look through time and at least partially appreciate this extraordinary talent.

In 1959 there was a tragedy – 12-year-old son Brovarskaya died under the wheels of a truck. The theater was ready to cancel the evening performance, but... the actress came on stage in the role of Queen Clay. Someone snorted behind her, accusing her of insensitivity, and this was an attempt to fill feelings with work, so as not to slide into madness. And much later, at the age of 85, almost blind, she got to the theater almost to the touch - and went on stage in "Palintsy" and "Memorial prayer.".
- Our profession is a thrilling business, you need to cry with live hot tears, you need to laugh, opening your heart wide, you need to enter this life and accept it with all nerve cells, said Zinaida Brovarskaya. - The actor is a special man. He is the creator and the creator at the same time. Lights will go out... The confession of the most secret and secret thoughts of his hero begins, the radiation of the soul begins. Theatre is primarily an actor. No matter how interesting and rich the rehearsals may be, but ... the curtain opens, and it is the actor who remains alone with the audience. He carries not only his attitude to the problem of the play, but also his heart, his world. I will never believe that the simmering struggle of human passions, which breathe the best performances, will ever become uninteresting to the viewer. More details are in the penetrating text of Irina Hovsepyan. In forestry there is no place for indifference - as a rule, people who come to this industry are distinguished by a responsible attitude and sincerity. Perhaps because they are imbued with a deep meaning of work: to preserve what previous generations of colleagues created, to add their participation and pass on the overall result to future generations. So that children and grandchildren continue to admire the green landscapes, as today’s workers did in childhood, and know that the forest will always be. Because there are those for whom it has become a part of life, a matter of honor for generations. The importance of creating labor dynasties, the popularity of forestry among young people, key aspects in the issue of securing personnel and work plans of forestry enterprises on the eve of the professional holiday - Forest Workers Day - was discussed with the Minister of Forestry Sergey Uldinovich.

Sergei Uldinovich. Photo from the archive "SB" — Forestry — industry uniting 34.5 thousand people, — stated the head of the department. But if you look more broadly and ask how many people the forest provides work for today, then this figure can be safely multiplied by two or even three. After all, the resource we grow and harvest is then used in other areas. The average age of forest workers is 44. This is the golden age, when there is already good experience behind you, and ahead is the opportunity to benefit the industry in which you work. As for gender, the industry remains predominantly male at 79 percent. Every year, more and more women come to work in forestry.

From the interview that the Minister took Maria Druk, you will learn a lot of interesting things. Be sure to pay attention.
Consumer patriotism has long been a trend in Belarus, emphasizing confidence in the quality of products. Shops have a lot to choose from, and the “Made in Belarus” sign is a source of pride. Numerous tourists for the weekend buy from the shelves of Grodno shopping centers the most popular items of goods: textiles, crystal, knitwear, marshmallows, chocolate and other food. The citizens themselves have long stopped chasing imported brands, preferring domestic ones, which are transparent, understandable and always on hearing. Chairman of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies Elena Pasyuta as a beautiful woman in society, at work and a warm hostess in the house agrees that Belarusian products are beyond praise.

Elena Pasyuta notes that the phrase “the buyer of Belarusians” has become so popular among Belarusians that many even forgot that it was not always so. In the dashing 90s stores often met customers with empty shelves. Tens of thousands of tourists leave Grodno for shopping, and then return again and again. Therefore, we can say that the inhabitants of neighboring countries have already become accustomed to our various products. When guests come, with whom we actively cooperate, for example, from the Russian Federation, they are first of all surprised at the quality of our food products, our textile products and other domestic products. Personally, I never had a question of what to wear or put on the table for myself and my loved ones. Only Belarusian! – emphasizes the Chairman of the Grodno regional Council of deputies.

To complete the transformation of the industry from social to economic - this is the purpose of the Law No. 156-3 "On Amendment of the Laws on Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism". The head of state signed this document on June 17, 2026. Thus, a number of laws are being adjusted to bring them in line with the Presidential Decree No. 329 of September 10, 2025 “On improving public administration in the field of tourism”. Among the key features of this document is the allocation of tourism into a separate branch of the economy and the transfer of its management to the National Tourism Agency. The recently adopted changes consolidate new approaches to state regulation, management and digitalization of the sphere.

Director of the National Tourism Agency Kirill Masharsky emphasizes the importance of changes:
- Authorities for state regulation and implementation of a unified state policy in the field of tourism will be concentrated in one hand – the National Agency for Tourism. The law changes the management system of the industry, focusing on digitalization and attracting investment. It is expected that the innovations will create the necessary basis for increasing the share of tourism in the country's GDP and give an additional impetus to the development of the hospitality industry.

The law specifies the goals and priorities of state regulation in the field of tourism. Thus, among the goals is to increase the contribution of tourism to economic growth, and the priorities include the creation of favorable conditions for the scaling of the tourism industry, the formation and promotion of national and regional tourist routes, the digitalization of the sector, the development of a system of orienting tourism information and tourist centers, staffing.
