Rental houses are being built in all areas of the Gomel region: who can get an apartment - in the ONT report

A long-awaited housewarming for those who need better housing conditions. In the Gomel region this year will build 100 thousand square meters of rental housing. Almost half have already been put into operation. A significant part of the apartments are provided to specialists, which are especially needed by enterprises of industry, agriculture and social sphere.

Housewarming instead of hostel

For a young nurse, Alexandra Stetska, owning a roof over her head has long been an unattainable goal. After moving from Yelsk to Gomel, she first lived in a hostel, and could not dream of buying an apartment. The situation changed the appeal to the employer: Alexander included in the list for rental housing. Now she has her own one-bedroom apartment of 38 square meters. And along with the keys to the new house, there was additional confidence in the future.

For the design engineer of the design institute Irina Kononenko, the solution of the housing issue also became an important family event. Together with her husband and two children, she lived in a hostel for almost 8 years. Now, while he is on maternity leave with his younger daughter, the family lives in a three-room apartment in a new neighborhood. Rental housing made it possible not to postpone a comfortable life for an uncertain future.

Irina Kononenko: My colleagues called me from work (thank you very much), and they said that there is such an option as to live in rental housing. At first, a little doubted, but then decided that still the opportunity to live now in comfortable conditions with young children is more important. Such a nice area, the apartment is large, the conditions are much better than in the hostel - we were very happy and everything, first of all, happened very quickly.

Apartments for demanded specialists

The construction of rental housing is gaining momentum not only in the regional center. In the village of Kommunar Buda-Koshelevsky district in December will begin to settle a new five-storey house with three entrances. 60 apartments, the main tenants of which will be demanded qualified specialists. For rural areas, this is not just new square meters: affordable housing helps to attract the necessary personnel to the area and create conditions for them to remain. Future residents will not have to start with repairs.

Vladimir Faleichik, Deputy General Director of the Gomel House Building Plant: “The rental house involves a full finish on the apartments. According to floor coverings in individual rooms, this is ceramic tiles, living rooms are laminate, walls are wallpaper pasting, and ceilings are putty and, accordingly, color. The intended occupants of these apartments may bring furniture and live in them immediately.”.

Who can get an apartment

Who first of all to provide rental apartments, determined in each district, taking into account the need for specialists. Among the most popular are doctors, teachers, agronomists, mechanics, veterinarians and housing and communal services workers. Apply for such housing can citizens who are registered in need of improvement of housing conditions - on the basis of the declaratory principle. The contract of employment is usually valid for the period of employment. In total, this year in the Gomel region will build 100 thousand square meters of rental housing. That's about 2,000 apartments.

Vladimir Senozhensky, General Director of Gomel Oblast UKS: Today, rental housing is divided into three types: it is for popular professions – 78.9 thousand square meters, 16 thousand – this is today for military personnel, and 5 thousand – this is where organizations will build for their employees. According to the results of nine months, 44 thousand square meters were introduced. At the same time, it is practically built in every district of the Gomel region - both for popular professions and for other professions.”.

Plan for next year

Next year, housing construction in the region should reach a new level: the plan is already 142,000 square meters of rental housing. And this is not only new houses and apartments, but also an opportunity for specialists to build their lives where they are needed. And for the region, this is another chance to retain valuable personnel and give them more confidence in the future.
