Air traffic in the United States began to recover after the failure
Air traffic in the North-East of the United States began to restore after damage to the fiber optic line, which had previously suspended flights to several airports

Air traffic in the northeast of the United States began to recover after damage to the fiber optic line, which had previously suspended flights to several airports. This was announced by US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
According to him, telecommunications lines have already been restored, and airports in the region are gradually returning to normal operation. At the same time, passengers were advised to follow the information from airlines: it will take time to eliminate the accumulated delays.
Earlier, the Federal Aviation Administration announced the suspension of flights to the airports of Philadelphia, Newark and Teterboro. The reason was technical problems with frequencies in the regional control center Philadelphia TRACON. Hundreds of flights were delayed due to restrictions.
Later it turned out that the fiber optic cable accidentally damaged the construction team of the Amtrak railway company.
Despite the line's restoration, schedule problems persisted at Newark Airport. As of 17:51 local time, there continued delays and cancellations of flights.
According to Flightdar24, one plane has already landed in Newark, and three more aircraft are expected in the near future. Most of the flights were cancelled.
