The story of a dog named Ira, which in September 2026 was thrown from the balcony of a house on Heikonen Street, was continued. Despite severe injuries - fractures of the spine and serious neurological disorders - the animal was saved. After a course of therapy in the clinics of St. Petersburg, the dog returned to his native Petrozavodsk for further rehabilitation.
Now Ira is undergoing a special training course under the guidance of rehabilitation specialist Anastasia Klimova. According to volunteers who oversee the fate of the dog, four sessions have already been held. The main goal of training is to strengthen the muscle corset and stimulate the reflexes of the limbs.
“On one leg the reflexes are well expressed, on the other, slightly weaker, but there is progress. Ira shows incredible tenacity, although perseverance is not different, the activists share their successes.
In addition to working with a specialist, the dog performs daily home exercises. Volunteers emphasize that discipline and regularity are now critical to recovery. Individual volunteers expressed Anastasia Klimova and Ksenia, who provided a week of free classes. To date, more than 900 caring citizens are watching the fate of Ayra.
