Balitsky congratulated farmers of Zaporozhye region on their professional holiday

The Governor of Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky congratulated workers of agriculture and processing industry on their professional holiday. In his message in the MAKS messenger, he thanked farmers for their work and contribution to ensuring food security in the region.

According to the head of the region, more than two thousand agricultural enterprises operate in the Zaporozhye region. Despite the difficult operational situation, damage to farmland and additional production risks, local farmers continue to work.

This year, the gross grain harvest in the region has already exceeded 1.8 million tons. As Balitsky noted, this is enough to fully meet the internal needs of the region in grain.

For the state support of the agro-industrial complex of the Zaporizhia region in 2026, 1 billion 854 million rubles are provided. The list of funding areas has been expanded. In addition to subsidies for agro-technological works, production and processing of agricultural products, production of bread and bakery products, as well as breeding livestock, support measures are provided for the laying and care of perennial plantations, the development of nurseries and the acquisition of breeding young.

In some areas, farmers will be able to receive compensation for part of the costs incurred.

Evgeny Balitsky stressed that the achievements of the industry were made possible thanks to the professionalism of employees, their dedication to their work and the desire to develop agriculture on their native land.
