Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed to report on the verification of reports of domestic violence against a resident of the Lipetsk region. According to the federal TV channel, the woman was repeatedly beaten by her ex-husband, and after one of the attacks she was hospitalized.

According to the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the appeals of the victim to the internal affairs bodies, according to her, did not bring the proper result. After the release of the TV story, the regional department of the UK organized a procedural audit.

Bastrykin instructed the head of the IC of Russia for the Lipetsk region Evgeny Shapovalov to submit a report on the progress of the inspection, the established circumstances and the arguments voiced in the television program.
