Belarus actively replenishes CIS geoportal data
The platform was commissioned at the end of 2025, and this year received four application services for tourists, students, workers and investors.

Tourist routes, monuments of the Great Patriotic War, hotels, universities, vacancies and investment sites - Belarus is actively replenished with data from the CIS Geoportal. Its development was discussed at the Interstate Council for Geodesy, Cartography, Cadastre and Remote Sensing of the Earth.
The platform was commissioned at the end of 2025, and this year received four application services for tourists, students, workers and investors. Here you can plan travel, look for work, assess the risks and potential of investment sites, study the offers of universities and even choose places on the map for fishing. The portal has 48 thematic blocks and more than 17 million objects. Since the beginning of the year, the resource has been visited by more than 50 thousand users. Special attention is paid to filling the portal with national data. Belarus, for example, has already posted information on the administrative division and road infrastructure of the country.
Vitaly Olekhnovich, Head of the Department of Geodesy and Cartography of the State Property Committee of Belarus: Belarus currently accounts for more than 50% of this information. To date, issues are being worked out on the placement of tourist information on this platform. This opportunity has appeared due to the fact that such information has already been posted on the national geoportal of Belarus and thanks to close cooperation with Rosreestr and relevant ministries and departments, this information can be broadcast on the CIS geoportal.
Another important topic of the Council is cooperation in the field of real estate and cadastre. Belarus shared its experience in using artificial intelligence in estimating the cost of apartments. We are talking about a public service, which is based on a neural network model, where any user can evaluate a property based on real transactions according to the price register. The Russian side proposed to consider the inclusion in the new interstate cooperation program until 2030 of the possibility of extraterritorial real estate transactions between the CIS countries.
