Belgorod residents told what to do with a broken mercury thermometer

Residents of the Belgorod region were told what to do if a mercury thermometer broke. The memo was published in the EMERCOM of Russia.

First you need to isolate the room: open the window and close the door. Then put on gloves, a mask and shoes. Mercury should be collected using paper and tape, a vacuum cleaner can not be used. Mercury is recommended to be placed in a jar of cold water and close it tightly.

The place of the spill is advised to treat permanganate or chlorine lime. Finally, it is important to ventilate the room, do important cleaning and monitor your health.

Earlier, Belgorod residents were told what to do if a child got lost in the city.
