Belgorod authorities plan to develop a network of bicycle parks

Belgorod authorities will develop a network of bicycle parking. The head of the city administration Valentin Demidov discussed this issue at a meeting with deputies and heads of units.

“This is not just a ‘storage area’, but a basic element of the city’s modern transport infrastructure, which transforms the bicycle from a ‘leisure’ category into a full-fledged transport of everyday demand.” This unloads roads, reduces the load on public transport and improves the environmental situation, the mayor said.

In the near future, meetings will be held with residents to present the project and discuss the formats of its implementation.

In Belgorod will repair about 10 km of roads before the end of the year
