The White Sea region took into municipal ownership the burial of the hero of the Karelian Front
Tomb of Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Yastrebov officially recognized as a regional cultural heritage site

The grave of Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Yastrebov is officially recognized as a regional cultural heritage site. During the Great Patriotic War, the headquarters of the unit he commanded was located in the village of Sueretsky. Yastrebov’s life was cut short on April 27, 1943 by a mine explosion.
As it turned out during the prosecutor’s inspection, the historical burial site had no legal owner, and the borders of the adjacent territory were not recorded in cadastral documents. To eliminate violations, the prosecutor’s office appealed to the court with a claim to transfer the object to the balance sheet of the municipality. The court supported the requirements of the supervisory authority. Currently, the process of registration of the object in the ownership of the district is under the control of the prosecutor's office.
