Belarusians from October 1, 2026 will be able to order firewood online

From October 1, Belarusians will be able to order firewood online. This was announced by the Minister of Forestry Sergey Uldinovich on the air of the TV channel “First Information”, reports sb.by.

This year, more than 3.1 million cubic meters of wood have already been sold domestically. We see an increase to the level of last year by more than 200 thousand cubic meters. People are actively preparing for the heating season. I think this is not the limit, there will be serious consumption, said Sergey Uldinovich.

He noted that today there are no problems with the purchase of wood. “We do everything we can to make it easier for people to do that. From October 1, firewood can be ordered online. Don't go to the forest. Any citizen, being at home, in the workplace, anywhere, can go to the site and make an online application. In order to control the timeliness and fulfillment of applications, logs, including overdue applications, are formed - this point will be monitored in more detail using technical capabilities. In addition, we have recently seen a growing demand for crushed wood. Therefore, we set ourselves the task of increasing the output of these products. If necessary, we will purchase equipment, install it to meet demand, the minister added.
