BSTU and Kazan Federal University discuss development of Union State Network University

As part of strengthening cooperation between the flagship universities of the Network University of High Technologies of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, a meeting was held at the Belarusian State Technological University on October 8 with a delegation of Kazan (Volga) Federal University, one of the flagship universities of the Network University. The BSTU reminded that the project for the development of the Network University of High Technologies of the Union State was launched in 2024-2025 by the decision of the supreme governing bodies of the SG to combine intellectual resources of Russia and Belarus. Today the consortium unites 10 universities of Belarus and 4 universities of the Russian Federation. BSTU and KFU are the flagship universities of this large-scale project.

- The program of the visit of the KFU delegation headed by Rector Lenar Safin provided, in particular, acquaintance with the educational and laboratory base of BSTU, the press service said. The guests visited the training laboratories of the Department of Technology of Inorganic Substances and General Chemical Technology, the Department of Biotechnology, as well as the training laboratory for the training of unmanned aerial vehicle operators. Representatives of KFU highly appreciated the equipment of laboratories and the level of practical training of students, noting the importance of such sites for the implementation of joint educational programs.

The central event of the day was the meeting of the KFU delegation with the leadership of BSTU headed by Rector Sergey Kasperovich. The parties discussed the current functioning of the Network University, the implementation of the roadmap in 2026 and outlined the key activities of the consortium for 2027. Special attention was paid to the development of joint educational programs and the expansion of academic mobility.

- The visit of the delegation of the Russian university to BSTU confirmed the intention of both parties to further deepen integration, the press service concluded. Joint work within the Network University opens new horizons for students and teachers, contributes to the development of science and technology in the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
