Belarusian State University is preparing two new educational programs for the new entrance campaign – “financial engineering” and “digital history”. This was reported to journalists by the rector of BSU Andrei Korol, writes sb.by.
Earlier, 25 educational programs were created at the university, built mainly on interdisciplinary practices. They turned out to be extremely popular: intelligent electronics, international economics and trade, African studies, web application development, design - the set for them last year closed not just on the first day, but in the first hours after the start of filing documents.
Special attention in the upcoming campaign is paid to the specialty “digital history”, which will open at the Faculty of History.
The goal of the program is to preserve the historical truth by means of digital technologies and communications and bring it to an external audience, including outside the country. There is a struggle for the past, the rector said, explaining that attempts to rewrite history are aimed at depriving society of historical foundations. It is to counteract such processes that the new specialty is oriented.
The second novelty is “financial engineering”. This educational program is also designed for applicants from among Belarusian citizens.
