Improvement of yards in Ulyanovsk: what has changed on the streets of Likhachev, Ryabikov and Shigaev

In the Zasviyazhsky district of Ulyanovsk, the improvement of two adjacent territories on Likhachev Street was completed. In the courtyards there were new decorative structures, green spaces and lawns. The work was carried out within the framework of the People’s Budget program, thanks to which residents can participate in the renewal of urban spaces.

One of the transformed sites was the courtyard of house No. 4 on Likhachev Street. Small architectural forms, a decorative arch and vases were installed here. In addition, the territory was greened: bushes and young fir trees were planted.

The neighbouring courtyard at No. 4a also received a new decoration. The main change was the planting of 70 trees, including ate, fir and ash. In addition, a lawn was built on the local territory.

On the completion of two projects told the Deputy of the Ulyanovsk city Duma Alsu Aizatullin. According to her, the renovation of the yards was the result of joint work with residents interested in the improvement of their area.

Similar changes are happening in other parts of the country. So, near the house No. 110, building 1, on Ryabikov Street, a new fencing of the house territory was installed. And in the yard of the house No. 15 on Shigaev Street, a children's playground and a street simulator for adults were equipped.

According to Deputy Viktor Borisov, this year from his district among the finalists of the program “People’s budget” included five projects. Two of them have already been implemented, the rest are still in work.

The program provides for the participation of owners of apartment buildings in co-financing improvement. Such a mechanism allows residents to propose changes for their yards and, together with the municipality, participate in their implementation.
