More than 100 Penza police officers came out on the wrestling carpet

In early October, the police of the Penza region changed into wrestling jackets and took part in the departmental Spartakiad in sambo.

This sport is not accidental for law enforcement officers. Fighting helps them in apprehending criminals, and regular tournaments keep them fit and improve their self-defense skills.

More than a hundred athletes from various divisions of the region took part in the competitions. Among them was one master of sports of international class, three masters of sports and eight candidates for masters. There were also winners of competitions of different levels.

The winners of the tournament in seven weight categories will represent the Penza region at the Spartakiad of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in 2027.
