The project is held annually from 2022 from April to November and is aimed at the labor education of the younger generation, the formation of a respectful attitude to work, nature and people who work on the ground. It can be joined by schoolchildren, students and their teachers, working youth, as well as all caring people who are ready to contribute to the common cause by their work.

- Every year, the project participants help to improve the territory, care for fruit orchards and participate in the harvest, - said the department. - Work in the garden helps children and young people to get practical skills, feel the result of their own work. Joint work with peers and teachers fosters responsibility, respect for the work of farmers and respect for nature. The harvested crop is transferred to production, as well as to social and pedagogical institutions.

The ministry stressed that an important direction of the project is career guidance. During garden care and harvesting, students communicate with specialists in the agricultural sector, learn about modern professions, work features and professional development opportunities.

During the implementation of the "Garden of Hope" covered all regions of Belarus. The continuation of this work was the republican contest “Mothers of the native land”. It contributes to the formation of a sense of pride in children and young people for their native land and its development, as well as allows to celebrate the best educational institutions.

- Another component of the work is the republican competition of experimental and research works “Young Naturalist”, the ministry continued. It unites students who, under the guidance of teachers, are engaged in research and experimental activities in the field of agriculture and agroecology.

Throughout the year, participants undergo a full cycle of seasonal work - from planting to harvesting. The children present their projects and results at the final exhibition "Fertility Ball", which until the end of October is held in the center "EcoInnovation" of the National Center for Additional Education of Children and Youth.
