The festive concert and the ceremony of honoring the workers of culture of Minsk were held in the “Minskconcert”, BelTA reports.

Cultural workers were congratulated by the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev. He noted that their work requires dedication and willingness to work, including in the evenings and on weekends. “You are creative people who are able to tune themselves and others, convey their feelings and experiences to a large number of people,” Vladimir Kukharev said, addressing the audience.
“The fact that you can take everything you have accumulated over many centuries, all the creative potential of our people, group together and convey to Belarusians through small events is also very expensive,” the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee added.
It is the cult workers who fill the urban space with life: they hold premieres and festivals, create events that are interesting for Minsk residents and guests of the capital, said Artem Tsuran, Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies. “You can build castles, palaces and beautiful buildings, but until the representatives of the cultural sphere breathe life into them, they will be just buildings,” he said. The Minsk City Council of Deputies is ready to support the initiatives of cultural workers, Artem Tsuran assured.
Among the awardees is the director and artistic director of the National Beauty School Bozhena Jeremich. She said that the institution educates about 400 children, as well as older girls and women. In addition, it works as a modeling agency, conducts beauty contests in Belarus and abroad. Over the past five years, the school has developed all areas of activity, increased the number of students and expanded cooperation with partners, including international ones. “Our institution is actively developing and keeping pace with the times. We have a very young and creative team that successfully performs the tasks set, said Bozhena Yeremich.
At school, girls are taught fashion, choreography, acting, hairdressing and the basics of makeup. “Of course, we study the basics of etiquette, as well as a number of other disciplines that contribute to the cultural and aesthetic education of young people and people of different ages. In addition to external beauty, we pay great attention to internal beauty and education, the director shared.
The certificate of honor was also received by the director of the Children's Music School of Arts No. 6 of Minsk, Mikhail Zhuravlev. "We have a small building, but there are a lot of people willing to study, and we try to accommodate as many children as possible," he said. More than 470 children are now enrolled in the institution, a record number.
In addition to leading the school, Mikhail Zhuravlev teaches guitar. “The guitar is one of the most popular and beloved instruments. Of course, administrative and economic issues take a lot of time, but I also work with children. They are all different, but they are happy to come to me, the director said.
He noted that while not all music school graduates will choose to become a musician in the future, music education is good for children anyway. When I do proms, I always say that most Nobel laureates have graduated from music school. Perhaps many of them did not become great musicians, but became great people. Musical and artistic education contributes to the diverse development of the individual. In music school you need to learn, and music should go to those who love it and want to do it, said Mikhail Zhuravlev.
The Director said that to receive the award on the eve of the holiday is a special honor. “I do not see it as a personal achievement, but as a reward for the whole team. The school has a reputation in the area and has earned recognition in the city. We have a regular city guitar competition. So, of course, it’s nice to receive the award, but you understand that your colleagues are behind you and everything you managed to achieve, you achieved with them.
Another award was received by the artistic director of the Minsk Concert Elena Rodionova. “We have been creating holiday programs for many years and we try to surprise the audience every time. We attend the events of colleagues, so we strive to do what we have not seen before, to come up with something new. We generate ideas, we assemble new teams. At least we try, she said.
According to Elena Rodionova, Belarusians love cultural events, and the best proof of this is the viewers who come to different venues. “We already know our viewers. Some have been on our projects for over a decade. If they didn’t like it, they probably wouldn’t come back. If they are interested, then it is necessary. So we will continue our work, she said.
Elena Rodionova has been working in the field of culture for over 20 years. Her career began in the theater, but over time she moved on to organizing concert events. “A reward is an appreciation of your work. So, everything was not in vain and you need to move on, to reach new heights, said the artistic director.
According to the head of the Department of Culture of the Minsk City Executive Committee Ekaterina Luchina, today more than 15 thousand people work in the field of culture in Minsk. “We have a tradition: on the eve of the Day of cultural workers, we honor the best. Although, to be honest, we don’t have the best – everyone deserves recognition. The awards were given to those who made the most significant contribution to the development of culture and their institutions. Among them are workers of children's music schools, theaters, museums and libraries. It is always joyful and heartfelt to congratulate cultural workers. The culture of Minsk is a living and dynamic organism that preserves the historical and cultural heritage and introduces residents and guests of the capital to the beautiful, she said.
