On October 3, in the clinic of the Tula Regional Cardiologist, the Open Day for the World Heart Day was held - everyone could get a free appointment with a cardiologist and undergo examinations.
During the day, experts examined more than 150 people: they measured their blood pressure, made an ECG, and also took blood for cholesterol and glucose.
Separately, doctors dealt with patients with identified hypertension and those who had cases of cardiovascular disease in the family - they were sent to the metabolic center of the cardiovascular dispensary for additional examinations. The rest received personalized recommendations for observation, lifestyle and treatment.
Chief cardiologist of the Tula region and head of cardiac dispensary Irina Shestova stressed that genetics or age cannot be changed, but risk factors can be influenced, and regular examinations give a person specific recommendations and a clear plan of action.
Earlier, MK in Tula reported that in the new epidemic season, influenza vaccines were completely updated due to the appearance of new strains.
