More than 188 million rubles allocated to support families in Kalmykia

In Kalmykia, more than 188.3 million rubles were allocated to support families. The regional branch of the Social Fund has completed accepting applications for an annual family payment. 6,224 applications have been approved and funds have already been transferred to recipients.

The payment is intended for parents who have two or more children. The transfers began in June. The amount is calculated individually, based on official income from which personal income tax is withheld. Tax at a standard rate of 13% or higher is recalculated at a reduced rate of 6%, and the difference is returned to the parent. This is what makes the annual payment. The amount of payment is not reduced by the amount of tax deductions for treatment, property or education, which allows higher amounts to be assigned.

Applications were accepted within four months – until October 1.
