More than 350 Novgorodians wrote the Great Ethnographic Dictation

The Novgorod region joined a large-scale educational campaign – the Big Ethnographic Dictation. This year, the event was held exclusively in an offline format, the press service of the government of the Novgorod region reported.
More than 350 Novgorod residents tested their knowledge about the culture and traditions of the peoples of Russia. The venue for the event was the Multimedia Center “Russia” in Veliky Novgorod.
Before the start of testing, the participants were able to immerse themselves in the historical atmosphere: master classes on applied calligraphy and the art of writing on birch bark were held for them.
A creative note to the program was added by the ensemble of the folk song “Volkhovyanka”, which presented several bright numbers.
