More than 60,000 migrants deported from Russia in 2026
For nine months of 2026 from Russia were deported 63.5 thousand foreign citizens who violated the law

For nine months of 2026, 63.5 thousand foreign citizens who violated the law were deported from Russia. According to the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, this figure is 1.5 times higher than the data for the same period last year.
The tightening of the migration policy is connected with the entry into force on August 4 of the Federal law No. 294-FZ. The document more than doubled the list of grounds for expulsion: now such a measure is provided for by 45 articles of the Code of Administrative Offences instead of the previous 22.
Among the new and key reasons for deportation:
In addition to forced expulsion, entry into Russia is currently closed to more than 260 thousand foreigners and stateless persons, which is 75.8% more than a year earlier. According to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk, the bulk of refusals is associated with deportation, violation of terms of stay, provision of false information or forged documents, as well as non-payment of taxes and fines.
In addition, the police issued more than 13.5 thousand decisions banning entry to persons who pose a threat to public security, which is four times more than last year.
