In the Murmansk region continues the autumn campaign to collect batteries in educational institutions. In addition to batteries, power banks of any brands are accepted as part of the collection. It is important that you can take them only in educational institutions that participate in the action.
Used batteries should not be thrown away with regular garbage. If the housing is damaged, the substances contained inside can enter the environment and contaminate the soil and water. Special collection helps to direct such waste to recycling and reduce environmental risks.
The action will last until October 30. It can be joined by kindergartens, schools, colleges and universities of the region.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” reported that Murmansk residents were warned about a possible fire of a smartphone due to a bloated battery.
