British man poisoned terminally ill wife because of the division of property

A court in the UK has sentenced 66-year-old Keith Foster, who systematically abused his wife, suffering from an incurable form of cancer. The man intimidated the woman and mixed urine into her drinks to exert psychological pressure. This is reported by the Mirror.

The reason for the escalation of the conflict was financial disagreements. Foster learned the details of his wife's will: she planned to transfer the house and main property to three children, and her husband was intended only a share in the joint business. After that, the man began openly threatening his wife’s parents, insulting her and regularly blocking access to his home.

In the summer of 2024, the woman initiated the divorce procedure. The situation worsened after the incident with suspicious water. Surveillance cameras were installed in the house to clarify the circumstances.

Video recordings became key evidence. Foster is seen urinating in glasses and filling the bottles with yellow liquid. In addition, it was established that the stepdaughter of the man became ill after the coffee made by him.

As a result of the proceedings, the court appointed Foster three years in prison with a delay of execution of the sentence for 18 months. The convict is prohibited from contacting his ex-wife and her daughter for four years. The man is also obliged to compensate legal costs in the amount of 1.5 thousand pounds.
